Reporting to the Playroom Supervisor, The Playroom Staff ensures that the member experience at the Royal Glenora Club consistently embodies our Vision:
The RGC is **_the _**family-oriented athletic and social club that people want to be a part of **_for life_**.

This position is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operation and programming of the Playroom while providing a safe and nurturing environment. Through effective operation of all Playroom programs, the Playroom Staff will create a safe, caring, and engaging environment conducive to building trust with all members and placing the Royal Glenora Club at the highest standard of a private member club.

**Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Greet/interact professionally with members and children.
- Provide care to infants and toddlers including snack offerings and diaper changes.
- Engage children of all ages with a variety of group activities including craft making, swimming, and camp games.
- Prepare and serve snacks and/or meals.
- Respond to parents’ inquiries in a timely fashion.
- Promote health and wellness through hand washing, cleaning of toys, etc.
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Clean and organize playroom and putting away any hazard equipment.
- Support and assist other team members by conversing and contributing information on an ongoing basis.
- Personal/professional conduct demonstrates RGC Core Values and Code of Conduct. Demonstrates ethical principles in all daily activities.

**Qualifications**:

- Formal training in childcare services (Bachelor of Education degree specializing in Early Childhood or Early Childhood Education Diploma Level 1) is an asset
- 1-2 years’ experience in the childcare profession
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check
- Infant/Child First Aid Certificate
- Standard First Aid/CPR C/AED is required
- Proficient Computer skills (Word, Excel)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and initiative
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Exceptional customer service focus
- Knowledge and understanding of Occupational Health and Safety
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15-25 per week

**Salary**: $15.00-$16.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Professional Childcare: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Early Childhood Education Level 1 diploma (preferred)
