**We are looking for a Program Instructor to join our team. Under the direction of the Executive Director and Lead Program Instructor, The Program Instructor is responsible for coordinating, supervising and implementing activities which aim to increase levels of independence and self-esteem for all participants. The Program Instructor encourages individual and group goal setting by facilitating meaningful connections and experiences reflective of COED’s vision and mission.**

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**-Plan and facilitate activities aligned with individual and group based goals**

**-Identify and acknowledge obstacles participants may face and adapt programs to ensure inclusivity**

**-Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment**

**-Develops and maintains positive relationships with coworkers, participants, families, caregivers, and external agencies to support a team-based environment**

**-Encourage participants to foster positive relationships with their families and community**

**-Promote and model healthy behaviour and lifestyle choices**

**-Maintain appropriate attire suitable for scheduled activities and settings**

**-Train, monitor and evaluate placement students and volunteers**

**-Assist with administering basic first aid and monitor seizures when required**

**-Prepares and files incident reports promptly and efficiently**

**-Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of daily activities and participant files**

**-Organization, setup and execution of fundraising events; assisting participants in contributing their efforts**

**-Supports other organizational duties and initiatives as assigned by the Executive Director**

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 40 per week

Work Location: In person
