**Job Vacancy: MES Service Technician - Crew Trainer**

**The Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Crew Training:_
- Lead MES Simulator training courses in line with company protocols.
- Coordinate simulator training activities and resolve scheduling conflicts with the MES Service and Operations Managers.
- Manage and maintain simulator equipment.
- Support MES deployments/exchanges and train crew members.
- Oversee training materials, inventory, and record-keeping.

**Administration/Technical Support**
- Provide administrative support for data recording and organizational tasks.
- Assist with cataloging technical documentation in the Technical Library.
- Support other service areas within the Service Station.
- Gain expertise in MES-related Lifesaving Appliances, service manuals, and service notices.

**About You**
- Essential Criteria:_
- As a Crew Trainer, you will need the abilities to teach evacuation procedures and Sweeper Training.
- As an MES Service Technician your development will result in the Valid Packing, Installation, and Deployment certification for products such as Marinark, Zodiac, and Brude.
- As a trainer you require to have excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail in following documentation, including Technician Training/Service Manuals and Bulletins.
- Strong understanding of safe working practices in various environments.

**Experience, Qualifications And Skills**
- Have some level of understanding of adult education principles and skills delivery methodologies if possible.
- Having some knowledge and experience on training others both in the field and in the classroom is preferred.
- Marine background preferred, seafarer an asset.
- Hold a Valid BC Driver’s License and government-issued passport.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Very good English language skills, verbally & written.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally for completing service work and training as needed.
- Flexibility to work weekends when required (e.g. Attendance at deployments/exchanges is mandatory when & where cruise ships or ferries call into port).
- Crew Training requires the trainer to have an appropriate level of physical fitness, no fear of heights, an ability to work closely with trainees in a tight space, so as to demonstrate the Sweeper function for Crew Members as part of their training.
- Availability to work overtime as necessary to meet service, maintenance, or repair deadlines.

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
