Our client is a world leader in the electric motor and controls industry and they are looking for a Technical Sales Rep to join their successful team at their Cambridge, ON location. **Responsibilities**:

- Review customer specifications and requirements to select and price equipment, provide quotes, and answer customer inquiries.
- Assist in sales presentations and closing orders.
- Provide direct support to existing customers to identify their needs and help solve their problems or complaints.
- Work with Field Sales and internal resources to develop new customers within the defined market.
- Provide customer service, inside sales, and technical support to our Eastern Canadian customers
- Perform stock checks & order entry functions and create reports and verify order entries on a daily basis, using SAP.
- Review customer-generated general RFQs, providing quotations per the company guidelines
- Interpret and review of customer-supplied RFQs, specifications of electric motors, and/ or engineering documents.
- Work with the project management personnel offering support and guidance when needed.
- Prepare the technical document that transmits the customer order to the engineering department.
- Maintain negotiation records, cost, and price, and negotiate motor inquiries.
- Assist with customer presentations and assemble complete technical/commercial proposal data providing marketing literature to customers as needed.

**Requirements**:

- post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering field; or 2-4 years related experience and /or training with electric motors or industrial products.
- Superior proficiency with MS Office products.
- Able to read and interpret technical documents, as well as safety rules, standards, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Self-motivated and able to work well in a team.
- Able to multi-task and pivot quickly through multiple projects and responsibilities.
