**Position: Prep Cook (Training Included)**
**Location**: Roberts Street Pizza
**Wage**: Starting at $18 per hour (dependent on experience)
**Hours**: Training 4-5 days per week, then scheduled 2 days per week (days to be determined)

**Position Overview**:
We’re hiring a Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This role begins with a 4-5 day per week training period, after which you’ll move into a regular 2-day-a-week schedule (specific days to be determined). Some training shifts will take place at our **Chemainus location**, approximately 10 minutes from Ladysmith.

**A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is preferred**, but if you have another reliable way to commute between the two shops, that works as well. Morning availability is essential.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Prepare pizza ingredients and toppings
- Maintain a clean and organized prep station
- Complete daily and weekly prep tasks efficiently
- Follow all food safety and handling standards
- Assist with cooking, cleaning, and dishwashing as needed
- Help put away and organize stock deliveries
- Occasionally assist customers with orders or questions

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- Open morning availability
- **License and vehicle preferred, or another reliable way to commute between Ladysmith and Chemainus (approx. 10 minutes apart)**:

- Able to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
- Physically able to stand, move, bend, and lift 25+ pounds
- Willing to train 4-5 days per week, then transition to 2 scheduled days/week
- Pizza or restaurant experience preferred
- Supervisory experience is an asset — the right person may move into a supervisory role quickly
