Marketing Advisor, Renewable Fuels

The Marketing Advisor, Energy Products reports to the Director, Energy Marketing and is responsible for supporting the Category Portfolio Manager for Energy Products to manage Petro-Canada’s current energy product offering and expediting the development, integration, positioning, and execution of our future energy strategy including the introduction of low carbon energy products with a heavy focus on the Renewable Fuels category.

This role is focused on delivering annual plans to achieve business objectives that drive growth across Petro-Canada retail and wholesale channels. This is achieved through the execution of marketing campaigns, developing communications & sales tools, optimizing the customer experience, engaging vendors and stewarding work with the Marketing Communications team and other stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

- University Degree in a related discipline
- 5+ years of industry experience
- Strong business acumen and a passion for learning

**Responsibilities**:

- Product categories this role currently supports includes: Core (Diesel, all grades of gasoline), Renewables (marketing and category growth), and additional areas (Diesel Exhaust Fluid)
- Responsible for supporting the category portfolio manager, the Energy team and cross functional teams to execute the marketing strategy, plans and budgets through promotional plans/communications that drive profitable sales growth across the Retail and Wholesale network.
- Lead and develop communications briefs for energy product related project work; support creative process and execute on deliverable to reach desired outcomes.
- Support the execution of annual category plans including customer research, product launches, marketing and communications plans, integration with digital and program/services development
- Support Category Portfolio Manager by developing and coordinating communications with the field selling force about the evolving aspects of the Energy Portfolio
- Focus on continuous improvement of efficient management of plans and processes
- Responsible for frictionless rollout of programs and promotions
- Focus on customer experience to drive loyalty across our retail and wholesale customers
- Support the Customer Experience Energy team to execute on Petro-Canada Strategic Objectives

Location and other Key Details:

- You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 - 6th Ave S.W.
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday- Depending on the nature of the role, we have implemented a Hybrid Work Model; to learn more, speak to your recruiter
