Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure Ltd. publicly listed with a business objective to build a diversified midstream and infrastructure company in the North American natural gas, natural gas liquids and crude oil, refined product, and renewable space. Its strategy is to profitably grow and create shareholder value through the acquisition and development of oil and gas infrastructure. Tidewater plans to achieve its business objective by providing customers with a full service, vertically integrated value chain, including gas plants, pipelines, railcars, export terminals, storage, downstream facilities, and various renewable initiatives.
Tidewater has an immediate opening for a **Fuel Compliance Manager**. **This is a full-time position based out of our **Calgary Head Office**. This is a fast paced, deadline driven role that requires superb organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
**Summary of Responsibilities**:
- Manage provincial and federal fuel compliance obligations including Carbon fuel regulations
- Prepare and maintain account books and documentation for compliance obligations
- Monitor and report on forecasted and actual compliance obligations
- Keep up to date on proposed regulations and report future changes with opportunities for blending optimization
- Prepare and complete annual verification audits.
- Manage and report on renewable products including market insights and strategy planning
- Passion to learn the renewable fuel industry and keep up to date with ongoing changes
**Qualifications/Skills**:
- 5+ years relevant experience in a similar fuel compliance role.
- Advanced MS Excel proficiency.
- Excellent communication skills (spoken, written & comprehension).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Environmental Science or equivalent degree.
- Ability to learn and understand new regulations and communicate requirements and impacts.
- Experience with the following is considered an asset:
- Federal Clean Fuel Regulation
- Federal Renewable Fuels Regulation
- Federal Benzene and Sulphur Reporting
- British Columbia - Greenhouse Gas Reduction (Renewable & Low Carbon Fuel Requirements) Act
- British Columbia - Renewable & Low Carbon Fuel Requirements Regulation
- Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA)
- Federal Audits and Reporting
