**The Job**:
As a Purchaser, you will be responsible for day to day procurement of materials and managing branch inventory levels, all while building and maintaining positive relationships with our vendors. The Purchaser will keep up to date with pricing and market trends and ensure projects run smoothly in terms of budget and product availability. It is crucial that our Purchaser promotes a positive company image through consistency, quality, safety, and professionalism.

**The Responsibilities**:
- Act as a Prime ambassador and lead by example
- Source and purchase materials for field electricians, service technicians, and project managers
- Create and manage purchase orders
- Ensure purchase orders are issued without error and meet the needs of the internal requester
- Work with the Accounts Payable department to manage invoices for approval, ensuring a thorough review of invoices for accuracy and validity and resolving any discrepancies and suppliers to resolve supplier invoice discrepancies
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors
- Consult with vendors to obtain the best pricing, discounts, and prompt service, and resolve any issues that may arise
- Manage backorders and facilitate returns
- Stay up to date with pricing changes and market trends
- Obtain wholesaler pricing for estimators
- Work in a safe manner and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Complete employee performance reviews, as required
- Other duties as required
**The Requirements**:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Degree or diploma in Business Administration or similar, considered an asset
- Valid G class driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Additional relevant certificates and training would be considered an asset
