Windspec is seeking a full-time Purchaser to join our team in Vaughan, ON. This role will work in the companies purchasing department to facilitate the following:
**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute a purchasing strategy that ensures timely procurement and optimal inventory levels and provides months on hand analysis for all product lines.
- Manage the purchasing process from drafting, reviewing, and approving purchase orders to confirming receipt of goods.
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while scouting for and onboarding new ones.
- Coordinate with warehouse and sales departments to manage inventory levels and meet company requirements.
- Oversee the receipt of purchased products and ensure compliance with all received specifications.
- Handle discrepancies and quality issues with suppliers.
- Stay updated on market trends to harness efficiency and cost savings.
- Implement and manage purchasing systems and software to streamline operations.

**Requirements**:

- Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and databases and other existing computer technology.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

**Education & Experience**:

- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration or related field 2-5 years relevant experience
- Professional Designation or Certification in Supply Chain Management as an asset
