**Overview of the Role**

As the Bilingual Recruitment Specialist (North America) you will support recruitment of attorneys, law students and business services in Canada and the US. In this position you will be responsible for Montreal recruitment including attorneys and business services roles, which necessitates the use of French as the official language. You will also act as the recruitment lead for the articling recruitment processes in our three Canadian locations.

**Primary Responsibilities**

General recruitment responsibilities:

- Develop and update job postings in consultation with reporting managers or partners to best define the business needs, the targeted responsibilities and the required qualifications to succeed in the role
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with human resources colleagues
- Maintain positive relationships with agencies and work with them as needed to fill critical time sensitive roles
- Develop and maintain the pipeline of incoming CV's
- Maintain record of active recruitment and provide other key performance data and indicators as necessary
- Maintain knowledge of market trends and recruitment best practices
- Other recruitment department projects as required

Articling Student Recruitment:

- Take part in the annual Montreal internship race, '_'Course aux stages''_, with a small team of lawyers and other employees in order to coordinate a number of activities as part of this yearly process, with a peak period extending from the career day in January until the end of March when the final interviews and offers are made. This process also involves a summer student program which unfolds over the whole year
- Support the annual articling recruitment and future summer student program in Toronto, working with the lawyers and administration, with a peak period extending from June to September
- Support the annual articling recruitment and summer student program in Vancouver with the Partners and administration, with a peak period extending from June to October

**Qualifications Required**
- Fluent in French and English, both verbally and in writing
- Bachelor's degree in human resources management, commerce or administration with a major in human resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience at recruiting within a law firm or other professional services environment
- Experience with Articling Student programs
- Ability to write job postings, in French and English, that are both meaningful and appealing to the targeted audience
- Experience working in an ATS
- Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Office Suite knowledge and skills (Word and Excel)
- Capable of quickly learning new systems and tools
- Ability to manage a wide range of relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional work ethic, professionalism and discretion
- Flexibility, teamwork and adaptability to change
- Sound judgement, sense of initiative and proactivity
- Sense of professional maturity and emotional intelligence are considered additional assets
