**Personal Support Worker (PSW) Coordinator - Chapel Heights**

**Position Type**: Full-Time Permanent

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Leadership & Supervision**:

- Reports directly to and works closely with the Director of Care (DOC).
- Accountable for the workload, development, and performance of Personal Support Workers and Unregulated Care Providers.
- Administer disciplinary actions in collaboration with the DOC.
- **Operational Excellence**:

- Assist the DOC in scheduling and shift replacements.
- Oversee and manage the OMS brief ordering process.
- Handle Infection control and pertinent resident care audits.
- **Training & Development**:

- Lead orientations for new hires, ensuring rigorous quality standards are met.
- Regularly conduct in-service training and monthly audits in accordance with RHRA expectations.
- Oversee the Point of Care (POC) system, monitoring status changes and task follow-ups.
- **Quality Assurance & Compliance**:

- Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality care to residents.
- Regularly inspect resident suites for cleanliness and procedure adherence.
- **Team Communication & Collaboration**:

- Engage in daily communication meetings with PSWs and the DOC.
- Act as a hands-on leader, working alongside PSWs and providing guidance as necessary.
- **Flexibility & Teamwork**:

- Adjust to varying work hours as the facility's needs evolve.
- Embody a team player spirit, stepping in wherever required to maintain Chapel Heights' standard of excellence.

**Qualifications**:

- **Mandatory**:

- PSW certification or equivalent.
- 5-10 years of experience as a PSW.
- CPR certification.
- **Preferred**:

- Experience in a supervisory role within a community healthcare setting.
- Certification/Knowledge or participation in a Health and Safety team.
- Ability to devise and evaluate PSW training programs.
- Familiarity with the PCC program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, paired with adept computer literacy.

**Experience**: Required
- 5 - 10 years: PSW certification or equivalent 5-10 years experience working as a PSW Certification/Knowledge or participation of Health and Safety team A proven people leader preferably as supervisor in a community healthcare setting Able to develop and evaluate various training programs pertaining to skills of PSW’s Computer literate and knowledge of PCC program an asset
