We’re looking for a Buyer to join our dynamic team and make a significant impact.

**Role Overview**:
As a Buyer, you’ll execute strategic and operational objectives by managing suppliers who align with our cost, quantity, and quality requirements. Your expertise will drive efficiency and contribute to our overall success.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Strategic Purchasing Programs**:

- Analyze sales records and inventory levels to develop strategic purchasing programs.
- Facilitate on-time material availability by collaborating with suppliers.

**Supplier Relationship Management**:

- Maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal associates.
- Evaluate proposals, select suppliers, and award contracts.
- Actively participate in new supplier selection.

**Purchase Order Management**:

- Handle purchase orders based on production demands and inventory levels.
- Expedite orders when necessary and communicate impacts to the production schedule.
- Resolve discrepancies in pricing, late deliveries, and other issues.

**Negotiation and Cost Control**:

- Perform pricing reviews and negotiate costs within budgetary limits.
- Monitor supplier performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in buying, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- SCMP/SMT certification is considered an asset.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs with a specialization in Excel.
- Experience with ERP software is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and prioritization abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to be responsive and have strong customer service skills when communicating with vendors/suppliers.
- Understanding of procurement practices and contract terms.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Excellent written, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry/environment is considered an asset.
