**Position**: Women’s Program Coordinator
**Schedule**: Full-Time, **Sunday to Thursday, 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM**
**Location**: Regina, SK
**Pay**:$23.00 per hour** (40 hours per week)

SOFIA House is a **second and third-stage shelter** providing long-term housing and support to women and children escaping interpersonal and gender-based violence. Rooted in feminist principles, we prioritize **trauma-informed, culturally responsive programming** that reflects the diverse needs of our residents.

Our team is dedicated to fostering **safety, empowerment, and healing** through comprehensive support services, advocacy, and partnerships.

**What You’ll Do**

As the **Women’s Program Coordinator**, you’ll work closely with residents in our shelter to provide **support, advocacy, and programming** that aligns with their unique needs and goals. Reporting to the **Program Manager** and collaborating with fellow Program Coordinators and the **Indigenous Relations Coordinator**, you’ll:
**Resident Support & Advocacy**
- Build trusting relationships with women using a **trauma-informed, person-centered approach**.
- Facilitate **survivor-led action planning and goal setting** to empower women in their journey of healing.
- Provide **information, education, and emotional support** tailored to each resident's needs.
- Attend to in-house **crises** and coordinate with emergency services (**police, mobile crisis, etc.**) as needed.
- Offer **referrals and advocacy** to help residents access essential resources and navigate systemic barriers.

**Program Development & Case Management**
- Develop and facilitate **in-house programming** focused on **healing, skill-building, and community integration**.
- Maintain accurate and professional **case documentation**, including assessments, casework records, and collaborative reports.
- Plan and lead **group sessions** that address interpersonal violence, self-care, and personal empowerment.
- Provide **on-call support** as part of a rotating staff schedule.

**Operational Responsibilities**
- Ensure a **safe, welcoming, and clean** environment for residents and their families.
- Carry out **transportation services** in alignment with SOFIA House’s transportation policies.
- Assist residents in navigating **addiction support and harm reduction** resources, demonstrating **understanding and comfort** with these philosophies.

**Cultural Competency & Indigenous Advocacy**
- Demonstrate knowledge of **Indigenous worldviews, colonial impacts, and TRC Calls to Action**.
- Collaborate with the **Indigenous Relations Coordinator**to integrate **culturally appropriate support and programming** for Indigenous residents.
- Advocate for **inclusive practices** that reflect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of all residents.

**What We’re Looking For**
- A **Bachelor’s Degree** in a related field (**required**).
- Experience working with women affected by **interpersonal violence and trauma**.
- Strong knowledge of **trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and crisis intervention**.
- **Excellent communication and case documentation** skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a **multidisciplinary team**.
- A **valid driver’s license** and ability to transport residents as needed.
