**THE OPPORTUNITY**

The Upper Grand District School Board is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team for a **permanent full-time** opportunity in the **Cloud Systems and Security Analyst** role. This is a 12-month position to commence as soon as possible.

Reporting to the Manager of ICT Infrastructure, **Cloud Systems and Security Analyst** is a senior member of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team responsible for operating and maintaining Identity Management, Secrets Management and Privileged Access Management (PAM) platforms.

This role will assist with technical security architectural requirements, design, and delivery of the Microsoft M365, Azure, Google Workspace for Education, Google Cloud, Active Directory, communication platforms and supporting High Availability/Disaster Recovery, availability, quality, outage management, subscription management, and cost-efficient architecture.

**LOCATION**:Guelph Board Office (500 Victoria Road N, Guelph, ON)

**HOURLY RATE**:Base Hourly rate**:$31.72 to $38.90 per hour; wage rate effective September 1, 2024

*Labour market adjustment of 45% to be applied to base hourly rate; hourly rate

inclusive of market adjustment is $46.00 to $56.40 per hour

*labour market adjustment may fluctuate based on local market.

**FTE/HOURS**:1.0 FTE (35 hours per week)

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to tasks and duties in the following areas:

- Cloud Platform Management
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Systems Management
- IT Service Management
- Tier-3 ICT Support
- Compliance and Regulatory Compliance
- Technical Documentation and Training

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary Degree / Diploma in Computer Engineering, Electric Engineering, or another related technical field with 5 years of appropriate experience. Post Secondary Degree in a related field preferred.
- Over 5 years of experience in cloud platform management, identity and access management (IAM), systems management, IT service management (ITSM), Hypervisors, Cloud/PaaS/IaaS/SaaS, Disaster Recovery, and Tier-3 ICT support.
- 5+ years experience with Azure Entra ID, M365 security, Multi-Factor Authentication, Azure Site Recovery, license management and communications platforms.
- 3+ years experience in the design, deployment, and administration of Google Workspace for Education.
- Expert in designing, configuring, and optimizing endpoint, virtualized infrastructure, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like GIT/SVN, Jenkins, Chef, Ansible, and Puppet.
- Expert with PowerShell/BASH and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for system administration, configuration management, and deployment tasks.
- Excellent knowledge of the ITIL framework and best practices for IT service management (ITSM). Good understand of CIS Critical Security Controls. Proven ability to lead IT and data centre infrastructure projects. Experience with vendor management for support, procuring and managing IT infrastructure.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, determine root causes and recommend and implement preventive measures. Proven ability to engage in proactive activities such as system optimization and digital transformation.
- Proven knowledge about cybersecurity, privacy, and student safety regulations, audit and compliance requirements. Proven ability adhering to applicable regulations and maintain necessary documentation.
- Expert ability to develop and maintain technical documentation and standards, provide training and awareness programs for staff and ensure align with industry and regulatory requirements.
- Certificates such as Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect preferred.
