**Student Audio, Video and Security Department**

**Job Type**:

- Temporary, Full-time, Summer Position

**Salary**:

- $20.00

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

**Location**:

- Sudbury, ON: current resident or plan to relocate before starting work (required). Some overnight travel may occur.

**Experience**:

- Basic knowledge or understanding of:

- Basic wiring
- Mechanical knowledge
- Knowledge and ability to work with power tools and hand tools

**Education**:

- High School Diploma
- First year or second year of college, in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation or related field

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Running cables
- Mounting equipment (speakers, switches, etc.)
- Knowledge of interpreting schematics
- Organize and prioritize work
- Analyze and resolve problems
- Take daily inventory of the equipment needed for the job
- Work collaboratively with management and colleagues
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Some IT networking or electrical experience an asset
- Have steel toe safety boots and hard hat
- Have some basic tools (screwdriver, wire cutters, etc.)
- A valid driver’s license with acceptable driver abstract
- Ability to work with small power tools, mechanically inclined
- Ability to work in different weather conditions
- Ability to work at heights (ladder)
- Ability to distinguish colors
- Flexibility to work different schedules overtime
- Excellent English communication skills, spoken and written
- Awareness of occupational health and safety and quality of work
- Must pass the security police check
- Bondable
- Some out-of-town/overnight travel
