HR & Payroll Coordinator

We are a tight-knit team committed to the success of Collectivfide for our employees, our broker partners, and our shareholders and continuing to support the independent broker distribution channel.
We just turned 5 last year and continue to have big dreams and lofty goals for the future so our team is growing to help us get there In this newly created role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the HR Department. The primary focus of the role is within payroll, benefits administration, and recruitment support.
This role will be primarily remote, however, will be require in office attendance for collaboration days, team meetings, events, etc.
**What Will You Spend Your Time Doing?**
- Payroll both within and across the Collectivfide network
- Support employees through the benefit and pension enrolment process
- Resolve any benefits and payroll-related issues
- Assist with the recruitment and hiring process across the Collectivfide network, including posting jobs, reviewing resumes, conducting reference checks and scheduling interviews
- Process entries into the HRIS (BambooHR) to maintain employee records
- Respond to employee inquiries as required
- Remain current with employment standards legislation and update policies and procedures as required
- Provide administrative support to the HR Department as required
**Requirements We’re Looking for**:
- Minimum 2 years experience in an HR administrative position
- Must have previous payroll and benefits experience (ADP preferred)
- Previous experience working with an HRIS, an asset
- Solid understanding of employment standards legislation (Ontario)
- Graduate of Business Administration, HR Management, or Accounting program; or similar education, experience, or combination of both
- Must have strong communication and organizational skills and be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
