**What you'll do**:
The Assistant Banquet Manager will assist the Banquet Manager in the day to day Operations of the Banquet Department including:

- Scheduling appropriate staffing levels and controlling/monitoring daily labour costs
- Supervising and assisting in the set-up of functions according to the function contract specifications
- Meeting with clients daily to ensure all aspects of a function meet the guest’s expectations and dealing with requests/complaints as they arise
- Controlling supplies and equipment to assist in minimizing expenses and increasing profit
- Effectively communicating with Associates using tools, such as daily meetings, development reviews, training, departmental orientation, and departmental meetings
- Ensuring adherence to set brand standards, policies and procedures as set by the hotel, Marriott and Human Resources
- Collaborate and provide support on social media initiatives including online reputation management (TripAdvisor, Yelp, etc.), content creation and social customer service.
- Responsible for all other duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager and or the Director of Food & Beverage.

- **Must be available to work varied shifts from Monday to Sunday, including mornings, afternoons, nights on weekdays, weekends and public holidays**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in Hotel Banquets, preferably with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role
- Ability to work varied shifts and hours including evenings and weekends
- Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated and able to motivate others
- Ability to develop and train Associates
- Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
- Ability to maintain enthusiasm and a positive attitude

Pay: Up to $68,000.00 per year
