We operate two (2) adjoining properties - Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel and Best Western Parkway Hotel, conveniently located at Highway 7 and Leslie Street in Richmond Hill. Accessible via YRT /VIVA transit, and Highways 7, 404 and 407. We offer complimentary staff parking, discounted health club membership, discount at all food & beverage outlets and discounted hotel rates for Marriott and Best Western properties globally.

We operate a 30,000 sq foot conference/banquet centre, with 30 meeting rooms. We can accommodate small and large meetings/events for up to 1,000 attendees.

We are currently seeking a full time Banquet Supervisor to join our Banquets team. The duties of the Banquet Supervisor include, but are not limited to the following;
**JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- meets and greets event convener to review function details and to ensure client satisfaction
- Checks in servers, assign stations, and pre-post function side work duties
- Supervises all aspects of service, obtains accurate guest counts and liaises with event convener throughout the entire event to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Manages problem situations as required in the best interest of the client and the hotel.
- Communicates to kitchen any changes in event schedules and obtains accurate guest counts.
- Maintains and organizes work space with a goal towards efficiency.
- Supervises and assists staff when necessary to ensure all events are set-up as specified on BEO/floor plan, run smoothly and are properly cleaned after.
- Assists in training staff in safe and efficient methods of work, use of equipment, cleaners and tools.
- Inspects table place settings, including table linen, china, glass, silverware and condiments for correct placement by service staff and to ensure that each element is clean, undamaged and attractive.
- Supervises the handling, storage, and security of all catering service equipment.
- Attends daily BEO meeting, ensures department is prepared and staffed accurately.
- Prepares daily summary and turns into Accounting with all completed banquet invoices.
- Assists the Banquets Manager in managing the department to ensure quality, service, maximum profitability and effective associate relations
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Banquets Manager, Director of Catering and/or General Manager
