**Responsibilities**:
As the Leasing & Property Administrator, you will be responsible for providing assistance to the Property Manager in conducting their mandated duties in support of the tenant relation and property management functions. You will be accountable for overseeing the administration of tenant charges and other lease related requirements, working with tenants and Head Office Property Administration to resolve issues and meet deadlines. You will also assist in preparing the annual operating budgets, reports, and collecting rental payments; co-coordinating tenant special requests and property events; and other administrative tasks as required.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Consistently focusing on providing superior customer service
- Establishing and maintaining a professional working relationship with tenants, vendors, building superintendents/cleaners and various contractors to ensure the smooth operation of the property
- Assisting in rent collection
- Conducting apartment viewings with prospective tenants
- Inspecting all vacant and model suites to ensure show-ready condition
- Preparing lease documentation for approval by the Property Manager
- Maintaining records in the site database (Yardi), including updating lease information, rent collection and resident notices
- Maintaining site files
- Preparing and logs work orders (resident service requests) as necessary
- Professionally and courteously handling all inquiries, feedback, and complaints or concerns
- Any other administrative duties assigned by the Property Manager

**Requirements**:

- 2 to 3 years’ experience in leasing and property administration
- Display a positive work attitude
- Ability to put all prospective residents at ease when showing apartments, answers all questions effectively and provides all required information
- Ability to overcome obstacles as presented by prospective tenants
- Good conflict-resolution skills, ability to deal patiently, tactfully and effectively with emotionally charged situations and a client base with diverse cultural, educational and socio-economic backgrounds
- General knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation
- Keeps current knowledge on practices in the market and other buildings in the area
- Strong communication and written skills in English

Additional:

- This position may require an individual to be fully vaccinated by a Health Canada approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccine upon hire and as a condition of continued employment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $36,000.00-$40,000.00 per year
