Site Project Coordinator

The Site Project Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to support the project management team with monitoring and reporting on all technical aspects of the project from the project site, contributing to its successful completion safely on time and within budget.
**KEY RESPONSIBILTIES**
- Monitor all site work including subcontractors and provide regular status updates and reports to the project management team.
- Work with the project team to plan work and maintain schedule, identifying any risks or issues and recommending potential solutions when challenges arise.
- Gather status updates and prepare project plans or reports (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) and provide to the project team.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the project and its scope to be able to competently liaise regularly with project stakeholders and contribute to building client relationships.
- Maintain proper site documentation, employee payroll time entry, and quality assurance records.
- Maintain and submit equipment and tool requisitions as required by site.
- Check incoming material for quantity and quality and assist with the coordinating and unloading of materials when possible.
- Coordinate and attend regular project meetings as required, which may require tracking meeting minutes and action items.
- Provide minor IT technical support for on site staff as required; and,
- Provide any other site administrative duties as required.
**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- A degree or certificate in Engineering, Business or Project Management considered an asset.
- 3+ years of linear project coordination experience in civil or electrical construction, quality or logistics preferred.
- Project experience in the electrical utility industry would be considered a strong asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a high level of accuracy while working in a fast-paced project site environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in order to meet deadlines.
- Self-starter who is also able to work collaboratively in a team atmosphere.
- Problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills are required, and a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project) and/or Primavera P6 would be a strong asset.
- Must be willing to travel and work extended shifts as projects require; and,
- A valid Driver’s License.
**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
- Extensive computer work.
- Regular travel to project sites sometimes requiring overnight stays or an extended shift schedule; and,
- Project sites may require traversing uneven ground and can have the chance for encounter with local wildlife and insects.
