**Employee Requirements & Responsibilities**:

- Management, Leadership and good communication skills
- Overseeing mechanics and prioritizing jobs/repairs
- Experience with Heavy Vehicles, HD Truck Parts and accessories (Experience in Peterbilt, Kenworth, Freightliner etc. preferred)
- Inventory verification & management
- Full cycle parts ordering: ensuring orders are correct and charged on shop work orders; receiving orders; putting parts orders away;
- Ensuring that back ordered parts are delivered to fill orders and notifying the appropriate individuals.
- Assisting with completing parts estimates
- Shipping and Receiving duties as required
- Working knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
- Capable of preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports.

**Required Education/Qualifications**:

- Heavy Duty Mechanic/Parts Journey Person Certificate Preferred
- Class 1, 3, or 5 driver license without any previous suspensions
- 3 + years Experience

Swamp Cats Limited operates from 2 facilities on over 26 acres of land in Lac La Biche, Alberta. Our 20-Acre facility, is serviced by our heavy duty mechanics and maintenance team and is home to our sixteen thousand square foot equipment maintenance & repair shop and seventy five hundred square foot welding shop. Our dedicated team, large equipment inventory and extensive facilities allow us to complete any project big or small.

With a dedicated equipment maintenance team and a constantly growing inventory of over 500 pieces of Heavy Equipment we have the iron to get the job done. Swamp Cats limited currently has the second largest inventory of GPS fitted heavy equipment in Alberta, allowing us to be smarter, faster and more accurate, bringing the office and the machine together for increased efficiency.

Since 2008 Swamp Cats Limited has successfully completed over five hundred million dollars in contracts within Alberta. We currently work with many of the leading Oil and Gas producers in Canada including: Cenovus Energy, ConocoPhillips, Devon Energy, Nexen, TransCanada, Athabasca Oil Corporation and Meg Energy.

**Summary**

We are seeking a Shop Manager to oversee our shop operations at Swamp Cats Ltd. This role is vital in ensuring efficient management of resources, staff, and inventory while upholding our commitment to safety and excellence.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage daily operations of the shop, including inventory control and resource allocation.
- Supervise and train shop staff to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Oversee payroll processes and ensure accurate cash handling practices.
- Implement organizational systems to streamline administrative tasks.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers for procurement needs.
- Monitor sales performance and develop strategies to enhance retail sales.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in a managerial role within a retail or construction environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience with payroll processing and cash handling procedures is preferred.
- Excellent team management skills with a focus on employee development.
- Strong administrative skills to support operational efficiency.
