**What you will do-**
- Oversee inventory levels for raw materials, monitoring usage versus previous year and issuing purchase orders to key suppliers when inventory levels reach minimums
- Cross-reference daily production schedule with on-hand inventory to ensure all required materials are available on the floor per scheduled print times
- Submit pricing and lead time inquiries to suppliers for custom material orders
- Issue purchase orders for supplies (packaging materials, ink, maintenance inventory) as directed by Department Managers
- Conduct Request for Quotations from various outsource vendors for strategic purchasing initiatives (hardware, fixtures, outsourced print production)
- Issue purchase orders for Temporary Labour
- Conduct physical count of on hand inventory each fiscal month end & reconcile against MIS inventory levels
- Reconcile vendor invoices to purchase orders for payment processing

**General Responsibilities-**
- Work as part of a team, follow and adhere to Transcontinental’s code of ethics and participate in the Continuous Improvements efforts.
- Fully understand and adhere to all relevant Environmental, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Quality, Security and company policies and procedures;
- Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act of Ontario, the Workplace Safety Insurance Act and all other applicable legislated environmental, health & safety regulations;
- Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.

**What you have to offer-**
- One (1) to three (3) years of related work experience;
- Related post-secondary education or certification is an asset;
- Strong skills in computer-based software and systems such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet and Purchasing Software/ERP system;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities simultaneously;
- Strong organizational skills with a methodical “procedure-oriented” approach to tasks;
- Analytical and able to use data, information and logic when making decisions;
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills;
- Have a positive, continuous improvement attitude and a willingness to learn new things.
