We are seeking a skilled and experienced Indian Cuisine Chef to lead our kitchen. This role requires a deep knowledge of Indian culinary techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles. As a chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, designing an exciting menu, and managing kitchen operations to ensure a memorable dining experience for our guests.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and present a variety of authentic Indian dishes, ensuring quality, taste, and presentation standards.
- Develop and update menu items that highlight both traditional and contemporary Indian flavors, keeping seasonal ingredients and customer preferences in mind.
- Manage kitchen staff, providing training and mentorship to maintain high culinary standards.
- Oversee food inventory, ordering, and cost control to minimize waste and maintain profitability.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, following local health regulations and restaurant policies.
- Collaborate with management to create seasonal specials and catering menus for events.
- Innovate and experiment with new recipes to enhance the dining experience.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as a Chef or Senior Cook specializing in Indian cuisine, with a deep understanding of traditional dishes, spices, and cooking techniques.
- Strong culinary creativity with the ability to design unique dishes while staying true to authentic Indian flavors.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, ensuring all dishes are prepared and delivered on time.
- Culinary certification or relevant training is preferred but not required.
