About the Role

As a member of Supply Chain, the responsibilities and Supplier portfolios assigned have a small to medium, complexity and/or spend.

Primary Responsibilities
- Responsibilities and Supplier portfolios assigned have a small to medium, complexity and/or spend.
- Responsible for all purchasing activities relating to quality, cost, and schedule for the assigned portfolio
- Activities will focus almost exclusively on the procurement of material and services needed to support rapid prototyping, Engineering design development and concept studies.
- This process is facilitated by a high value p-card (purchasing card) process and will liaise with accounting to reconcile billing and cross-department expenses at monthly financial reporting periods.
- Effectively interact cross-functionally primarily with Engineering, Finance, Operations Engineering and other departments, as required.
- Proactively engage with assigned suppliers to ensure that supplier capabilities and products meet the requirements as defined by the project teams and the Supply Chain processes.
- When required, produce RFQs (request for quote), competitive bids, bid evaluations and purchase orders utilizing Cost Analysis methods.
- Ensure thorough understanding of and strict adherence to policies and procedures relating to the L3Harris WESCAM Supply Chain department, overall site business policies and L3Harris Corporate policies and mandates

Required Capabilities
- Competency using ERP and PLM software packages
- Understanding of ERP/MRP and production planning principles
- Proficiency in Excel and MSWord
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining sense of urgency and focus on customer service
- Flexible and agile in attitude is a must, while still maintaining adherence to company policies and procedures
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Effectively manage multiple competing priorities
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Initiative to investigate problems, develop solutions and obtain results
- Working knowledge of the CGRP, USML, ITAR and Offsets
- Genuine desire to learn, be challenged and grow within the Supply Chain function
- Meets the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Registration Program and is eligible for a Canadian government security clearance

Desired Education and Experiences
- University Degree/College Diploma in Business, Operations, Materials Management or Finance/Accounting
- 2-4 years’ experience in a Supply Chain, Operations or Finance role
- APICS CSCP designation (complete or in process) is considered an asset.
- APICS CPIM designation or PMAC SCMP designation (complete or in process) is considered an asset.
