Currently, we seek motivated and mechanically inclined **Maintenance Technician**for our manufacturing locations.
**Location: Kitchener-Waterloo, DAY SHIFT**
**Monday - Thursday 7:00am-4:00pm, Friday
- 7:00am-11:00am**
**Responsibilities include**:
- Planning for preventive and predictive maintenance. Regular scheduled maintenance activities (Oil fill-up, equipment cleaning, replacing filters, changing valves, motor windings service etc.).
- Failure analysis based on equipment history.
- Monitoring and predicting equipment condition - condition based maintenance. Estimation of equipment condition - based on vibration testing, detailed inspection and instrument readings, etc.
- Co-ordination with other departments for specialized repair services.
- Forecasting for spares and consumables - all service needs.
- Assist with Safety inspections and audits as required.
- May include facility maintenance as required.
- All other related duties as assigned.
**Requirements**:
- Strong electrical and mechanical foundation working with Mazak, Doosan and Haas mills and lathes a must.
- 2-5 years’ experience in manufacturing and plant maintenance or an apprentice.
- Post-Secondary training or education in the areas of plant maintenance or Millwright certification is a definite asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills, effective planning and organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills including both written and verbal.
- Able to address things quickly and efficiently with a sense of urgency and escalation.
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced organization and able to work to tight deadlines.
**Physical Demands**:
Required to carry out routine, repetitive tasks such as reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, lifting, packing, stacking, bending, climbing / descending / going under or on equipment as well as some physical lifting.
Regularly exposed to noise, temperature change and lubricants and vibration.
Wears all PPE as required.
