Building Operations Assistant will primarily assist the Building Operator/Electrician and be responsible for completing tasks and projects as assigned at the UPG’s buildings, including:

- Downtown Vancouver_
- 900 West Hastings Street
- 675 West Hastings Street
- Uptown New Westminster_
- 555 Sixth Street (Westminster Centre)
- 505 Sixth Street (Latitude Uptown)
- 581-599 Sixth Street
- 601 Sixth Street (Uptown Centre)
- 500 Sixth Avenue (Queen’s Park West)
- 512 Sixth Avenue

**Responsibilities**:
Provide assistance to the Building Operator/Electrician as needed at our Downtown Vancouver and Uptown New Westminster buildings including:

- Day-to-day building operations and maintenance tasks to ensure uninterrupted operations is maintained;
- Respond to tenant service requests as directed;
- Building Operator relief as required (ie. Vacation, sick leave);
- Be available for on-call/standby (including snow removal) and emergency call-out as required
- **Minor Construction & Tenant Improvement Projects**_

Assist with demolition, painting, minor concrete work, site cleanup, etc.
- **Other Maintenance / Special Projects**_
- Exterior / interior painting
- Pressure Washing
- Snow Removal
- Minor HVAC Maintenance (filters (downtown only), belts, coil cleaning, etc)
- Change light bulbs
- Weeding
- Other maintenance / special projects as assigned

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- working with power tools: 2 years (required)
- Commercial painting: 1 year (required)
- Plumbing/HVAC/Electrical: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- BC Driver's Licence (required)
