**Requirements**:

- Graduation from a recognized Resident Care Assistant Program
- Post-Secondary Medication Administration Course
- High school diploma
- Current Food Safe certificate
- Current WHIMIS certification
- Current registration is in good standing with the BC Assistant Registry

**About The Role**

As a resident assistant, you play a crucial role in creating positive and collaborative relationships with residents, team members, families, and partners. You assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for residents. Your support helps residents maintain their independence while receiving personalized care that respects their dignity and privacy. You implement individualized care plans, administer medications as directed, and maintain updated clinical records within your scope of practice. Additionally, you help with transportation, meals, laundry, and activities, contributing to residents' overall well-being. Your active participation in quality care programs and multidisciplinary team meetings ensures prompt reporting of concerns or changes. You also perform clerical duties, support new resident assistants' orientation and training, and engage in ongoing professional development. By promoting a culture of health and safety, you demonstrate and encourage safe working practices while embodying Baptist Housing's values in every interaction. Victoria ranks among the top twenty world cities for quality of life. Your work location will be at Marrion Village, our assisted living and senior rental housing community in Oak Bay.

**Compensation and Benefits**

Compensation ranges from $27.11 - $28.71 as per the CBA wage scale Grid 21. You will be welcomed into a warm and supportive work environment where you can thrive both personally and professionally.
