Are you ready to play a pivotal role in transforming raw environmental data into actionable insights?
As a Laboratory Data Analyst, you will take charge of managing and tabulating laboratory data from diverse field sampling activities, including soil, groundwater, surface water, and air. You’ll spearhead tracking analysis timelines, conducting rigorous quality control checks, and preparing data in clear, pre-tabulated formats that align seamlessly with regulatory standards. Collaborating closely with project managers and senior staff, you will streamline data organization, drive efficiency, and ensure projects are executed with precision.
**Deliver Results**
**Data Tabulation for Regulatory Application**:
- Tabul**a**te data in organized, standardized formats according to specific regulatory frameworks, ensuring integration with project requirements and reducing review time for all staff.
- Ensure regulatory criteria is current and appropriately applied.
**Chain of Custody (COC) and Quality Control (QC) Oversight**:
- Verify and ensure the accuracy of all COC documentation, maintaining data integrity and adherence to QC standards from collection to reporting.
- Review laboratory QC and request explanation of any discrepancies and reruns as applicable.
**Tracking Laboratory Analysis and Timelines**:
- Monitor all laboratory requests, tracking each sample’s status to confirm timely completion of analysis.
- Proactively manage hold times by ensuring additional analyses are initiated when necessary to avoid re-sampling, preserving data continuity and project budgets.
**Documentation and Record-Keeping**:
- Maintain organized records of all data, lab results, and COC forms, supporting rapid data access for senior staff and regulatory reviews.
- Facilitate an efficient and accessible data archive, allowing project teams to retrieve needed information quickly.
**Additional Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with field staff, project managers, senior staff, and laboratories to maintain seamless data flow.
- Conduct periodic audits and reviews of tabulation processes, enhancing accuracy and efficiency in lab data management.
- Provide support for project data entry and validation as required, ensuring data is consistently reliable and ready for high-level project review.
- Collaborate with GIS group on analytical tables, borehole logs, and figure requirements.
**Showcase your Talents & Achievements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years in laboratory data management, environmental consulting, or similar.
- Strong skills in data tabulation, database management, and Excel. Experience with ESdat, EQuIS or Strater programs is an asset.
- High degree of accuracy in data handling and tabulation.
- Effective communicator with the ability to coordinate data flow between labs, project teams, and regulatory agencies.

Pay: $27.40-$33.65 per hour
