**The Role**:
Join our team as a **Recreation Therapy Aide** and play a key role in enhancing the lives of seniors You will be responsible for planning and facilitating a variety of recreational, social, and therapeutic programs tailored to the unique needs and abilities of our residents. If you’re passionate about working with seniors and making a meaningful impact through engaging activities, we’d love to hear from you

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Facilitate engaging recreation programs** for residents, promoting physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- ** Assist with seasonal events and special outings**, creating memorable experiences for residents.
- ** Document participation and maintain accurate records**, ensuring residents' progress is tracked effectively.
- ** Prepare and post program notices and calendars**, keeping residents and families informed.
- Provide **therapeutic one-on-one visits** under the guidance of the Director of Recreation Therapy.
- Report residents' progress to the Director, ensuring timely documentation into clinical records.
- ** Supervise and support volunteers**, ensuring smooth program delivery.
- Work collaboratively with our **interdisciplinary team**, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
- Take on **cross-functional duties** as needed, including assisting with feeding.

**Who We're Looking For**:
**Education & Experience**:

- Certification as a **Recreation Therapy Aide** (or equivalent certification).
- Experience in **Long-Term Recreation Therapy** is highly desirable.
- ** Food Safe Handling Certificate**.
- ** First Aid/CPR** certification.
- ** Supportive Pathway** training.
