Lower cost of living, attrative salary, growing and reputable organization who invests in people and new technology. **I Overall Objective** The press operator is key position in the organization who will be in charge of running the production priorities within the colour, registration and bleeding quality requirements stipulated by Lintec and its customers. The Press Operator possess enough knowledge to operate Lintec's flexography/digital presses safely and efficiently with mínimal assistance for any web with equal or larger than 13" and up to 12 colours. **II Experience Required** A thorough understanding of press, ancillary equipment, machine controls, colour-mixing, tooling and their respective functions. Organizational skills, technical aptitude, verbal and written communication. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience with Narrow Web Flexo press operation and set up. **III Education** Any trade education, no license is needed. Graphic design (ideal but not required) High school completion; Bachelor degree (ideal). **IV Duties and Responsibilities** 1. Read docket thoroughly for instructions; ensure all elements of the job are readily available. Have a clear understanding of post-press processes needed to be done to ensure compliance with production order (ticket). 2. Co-ordinate with assistants the efficient / proper wash-up, storage of removable equipment, plates and tooling. 3. Complete a press proof which matches the signed of target or client sample. Ensure all checks are made and cross checked. 4. Ensure continuity of quality throughout run in accordance with-in house procedure. 5. Document any and all changes needed for repeat runs to ensure revision of docket and information is maintained. Keep run samples in docket to ensure press checks are completed. 6. Direct and delegate press assistant(s) any duty necessary to maintain production, a clean orderly work bench and press environment. 7. Train the Press Operators in Training to become proficient in the operation of Lintec’s flexographic and digital equipment. 8. Must be trained in all 3 Press Operator levels by the FTA; training paid by Lintec. Additionally, the Press Operator should possess experience in - Operation of Mark Andy 2200 (or equivalent) 6,8, 10 or more colours - Use of water base, film and UV inks. Colour matching process and spot colours. - Ability to operate turn bar, sheeter, raised ink, cold/hot foil, emboss/deboss, variable data, plate mounting equipment; RFID equipment (ideal). - Prioritize workflow and able to communicate effectively with others. - Must be able to follow standard operating procedures and quality checks. - Knowledge to pre stage all elements of print production. Quality controls and lean manufacturing - Quick change overs of cylinders and dies. - Develop basic operation experience on converting equipment (e.g. rewinding equipment, pouch making, etc.) - Any other as required. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: From $27.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Commuter benefits - Relocation assistance Work Location: One location
