We are seeking a highly motivated and **experienced Komori Press Operator **to join our team and be a key contributor to the success of our business.
- Monday to Friday OR Monday to Thursday, potential weekends
- **AFTERNOON SHIFT with the intention for this position to move to days within a year as part of our succession plan for an expected retirement.**:

- 3:30pm - 12:00am (5 days/week) or 3:30pm - 2:00am (4 days/week) or as mutually agreed
- Effective date: ASAP
- $34.74/hour plus A/S shift premium of $0.75/hour plus 407 reimbursement, if applicable

**The Press Operator will be responsible for**:

- Skilled in operating and maintaining a Komori Press, adhering to quality standards, and achieving production targets.
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.

**The Press Operator may perform some or all of the following duties**:

- Review job orders to determine job specifications such as production time, colour sequence and quantities required, and advise press crew of these specifications
- Mount plates or cylinders and makes necessary adjustments
- Fill ink fountains and take measurements, make adjustments and determine settings to control Colour and Density
- Must be proficient in using a Densitometer for Quality Control
- Completing production records, as required
- Set up press and check samples for ink coverage, alignment and registration
- Monitor regular press runs for quality and consistency using computer control console and make adjustments as required
- Solving printing and quality adjustments to mechanical operation of press to keep quality, registration, colour, and production speed at optimum
- Remove plates and clean blankets and cylinders at end of press run
- Direct activities of press helper and ensure that safety procedures are adhered to
- Training press feeder as a backup to operate press
- Any and all other duties that may be required
- Be required to successfully pass colour vision test
- **Have minimum five (5) years related experience as Press operator on a KOMORI Press Specifically**:

- Certified in forklift operation and proficient in lean manufacturing principles
