**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure project timelines assigned by the foreman/management are completed
- Develop shop and erection drawings for miscellaneous and structural steel using modeling and drafting
- Comply with requirements of the design drawings and with CISC standards and CWB codes
- Provide technical clarifications to shop personnel to support their work and prevent costly interruption due to lack of information
- Produce steel building layouts with input from structural and architectural contract drawings
- Respond to any requests for changes by the client and work with the Project Manager, Fabrication and Installation Teams in troubleshooting throughout the Project.
- Review all drawings and sketches received from clients, architects, interior designers, and contractors to ensure thorough understanding of the client’s needs
- Obtain all necessary information to effectively detail complete drawing sets

**Requirements**:

- Ability to work in Fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform Repetitive tasks over longer periods of time
- Ability to follow verbal and written instruction
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
- Basic understanding of industry standard installation guidelines
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team player.
- Experience in commercial construction an asset
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
- Will be interviewed and required to perform a test
- A Certified Engineering Technologist or equivalent designation will be viewed favorably.
- Experience: 2 years to 5 years in structural steel, Misc. Metals & in all types of roof and wall systems
