Victoria, Canada KATO Renovations Ltd. Full time

**Overview**
This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced carpenter who can oversee residential renovation sites, coordinate subtrades, maintain quality control, create and maintain project schedules and still swing a hammer when needed. You’ll be the boots on the ground, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to the KATO standard.

Work closely with the owner of KATO Renovations Ltd. as the key site lead — acting as the right hand in managing active construction projects.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee daily site operations, manage schedules, and coordinate with the KATO team on project progress
- Direct subtrades, carpenters, and labourers to ensure smooth daily workflows
- Read and interpret floor plans, scopes of work, and permit requirements
- Perform hands-on carpentry (framing, forming, finishing, etc.) as needed
- Manage materials, deliveries, and maintain site cleanliness and organization
- Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners and team members
- Conduct regular inspections and review installations (e.g., flooring, tile, cabinetry) to maintain high-quality standards
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment
- Train and mentor team members in carpentry techniques, tool use, and best practices.

**Experience**
- 5+ years of residential carpentry/renovation experience
- Red Seal or equivalent is preferred
- Proven ability to lead a small crew or manage subs
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
- Own set of hand tools.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues that arise during renovation projects.

Pay: $34.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
