**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Manager External Relations and the Team Lead, Sprott Business Career Management Centre (BCMC), the Employability Passport (EP) Career Coordinator is responsible for contributing to the development, implementation and delivery of career development services, and programs as outlined in the Employability Passport for Sprott students.

The incumbent will monitor and promote career development initiatives that form part of the passport, advise students about the required components of the passport, and lead discussions to increase the number of activities available for students to choose.

The Sprott Employability Passport Coordinator is a multi-functional position providing clear, accurate and concise career and employment information to students, staff, and faculty. The incumbent is responsible for providing timely, knowledgeable advice on; student employment related issues, job-search resources, and for helping to direct students to the appropriate support and resources to fulfill the requirements of the Employability Passport. The Sprott Employability Passport Coordinator will oversee the tracking of all activities completed by students and must be proficient with the use of the Co-curricular record (CCR), CU Portfolio, ORBIS and BANNER.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that events and activities offered by Career Services are shared with Sprott students. The incumbent will support the preparation and delivery of BCMC events and fairs on campus. The Sprott Employability Passport Coordinator is expected to present a positive, knowledgeable, professional reflection of BCMC at all times.

A thorough knowledge of all undergraduate and graduate programs within the Sprott School of Business and the related professional working community is required.

**Qualifications**:
**The incumbent must possess the following qualifications**:

- Experience with resume review, job search skills, interviewing techniques.
- Experience in presenting/facilitating/leading small, medium and large sized workshops.
- Strong Internet search skills; familiar with the job search sites, especially in the local, Ottawa market.
- Background knowledge of business undergraduate programs and coop/internship programs.
- Proficient with Orbis database, MS Office, Banner, and social media eg., Twitter, LinkedIn.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team; ability to multi-task with tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- The incumbent must have general knowledge of university procedures

**Education and Experience**:
**The above is normally acquired through the completion of**:

- Completion of a university honours degree in business or an acceptable equivalent
- Certified Career Development Practitioner designation is an asset
- Experience developing and implementing student programs and experience developing and managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders is required.
