**Buyer**

**Responsibilities**:

- Sourcing and purchase of raw materials and packaging components
- Responsible for the availability of raw materials and packaging components based on production needs and / or customer orders
- Coordinate with the laboratory (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure that deadlines for analysis and release of raw materials and packaging components are respected
- Maintain frequent communications with suppliers to ensure deliveries are on schedule
- Negotiate the availability of products to meet customer requirements and negotiate with suppliers (price, payment terms, delivery dates, etc.)
- Prepare orders for commercial production and production of PDS batches (ie pick list for future production)
- Management of rejects and of the destruction of rejects
- Organize the transport of goods with our customs broker
- Monitor key performance indicators
- Work closely with production, product development, customer service, warehouse staff and customers
- Maintain vendor records, MSDS Sheets, audit and intervention activities and records
- Receiving and shipping control and data entry

**Skills and experience required**:

- DEC in business administration, logistics management or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years experience as a Buyer
- Bilingual (English/French) with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical preferred)
- Good computer skills, proficient in Office Suite (Excel and Word)
- Strong negotiation skills
- Organization and planning - multi-task, proactive and good priority management
