Weekend Shift - Friday to Monday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm (rate includes a $5.00 shift premium)
As a Plasma Table Operator, you will operate the table, manage the plate inventory, quality check the cut pieces and perform all maintenance required.
Main Responsibilities
- Align steel plates on table
- Select program and adjust settings to suit the burning project
- Make appropriate adjustments to ensure accurately burned pieces with no defects
- Check burn quality of finished pieces and re-burn defective pieces, if required
- Assure the correct quantity is burned according to the burn sheet specifications, organize and palletize burnt pieces
- Change out torch tips, electrodes & nozzles, as required
- Unload material from the table
- Shut down and maintenance of table

Attributes and Skills
- Understand and perform safe work practices
- Overhead crane training an asset

Must have a strong work ethic
- Meticulously organized and ability to keep a clean workspace
- Quick to learn new skills
- Strong attention to detail

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 3 years of operating CNC burn tables
- Experience using Nesting software is an asset (Messer and Sigma NEST)

Physical Requirements
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs - fitness test required
- Standing on your feet for a long period of time
- Have good eye to hand coordination
- Be able to bend, crouch and kneel for extended periods
- Ability to wear personal protective gear most of the day
- Regular exposure to industrial shop hazards which require additional protection from noise, fall hazards and air quality
- Regular fast pace or work with tight deadlines
- A medium to high stress environment due to timelines

Shift Availability
- Weekend Shift - Friday - Monday 6:00am - 4:30pm (rate includes a $5.00 shift premium)
- When our shop is busy, overtime is scheduled and expected
