Merchandising Manager

We’re looking for a hands-on merchandising leader who can turn great product presentation into an unforgettable customer experience. If you can walk into a store, instantly see the flow, and know how to make every shelf sell, we want you on our team.

**Important**: This is not a desk job. You’ll be on the ground, in stores, physically executing plans, moving product, assembling displays, and leading projects. **This role requires working independently, making decisions on the spot, and ensuring consistent standards across multiple locations.** Travel is required to all McMunn & Yates locations across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Northwestern Ontario. Some overnight stays may be necessary.

**What You’ll Do**
- **Own the merchandising playbook** - create the annual merchandising plan, store maps, and visual planograms for every branch, ensuring they meet McMunn & Yates Store Standards.
- **Drive flawless execution** - guide each location on end-caps, flats, dump bins, clip strips, signage, clearance zones, and new plan-o-grams so product turns faster and looks better.
- **Lead new-store and major reset projects** - assemble fixtures, re-merchandise categories, and optimize space and traffic flow from day one.
- **Repair and replace warehouse racking and store fixtures** - ensure equipment is safe, functional, and aligned with merchandising needs.
- **Champion safety and yard presentation** - insist on clean yards, secure fencing, and proper PPE so we protect people and product.
- **Keep data tight** - document planograms and store maps on the server, update BisTrack, and communicate product changes or discontinuations to all teams.

**What You Bring**
- 5+ years of progressive merchandising or retail-operations leadership (building-supply experience a plus).
- Proven skill at visual merchandising, space optimization, and planogram design.
- Strong communicator able to align Category Managers, Store Managers, and Yard Managers with clear merchandising plans.
- Influential leader who can keep multiple teams coordinated and on plan.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with mínimal supervision while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Analytical mindset and working knowledge of POS/ERP systems (BisTrack preferred) and MS Office.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Northwestern Ontario.
