**Job Title**:Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) - Migration & AWS Specialist**

**Location**: Hybrid - 3 days a week - Downtown Toronto

**Job Type**:Contract
**Level**: Mid-Senior level
**Reports To**: IT Manager

**Key Responsibilities**
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c) in production, test, and development environments.
- Plan and execute database migration projects, including upgrades, platform transitions (on-premise to cloud), and cross-version migrations.
- Design and implement high availability (HA), backup/recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Perform performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning.
- Use tools such as Oracle Data Pump, RMAN, Goldengate, and AWS Database Migration Service (DMS).
- Implement and maintain database security, user access, and compliance with company standards.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting (Shell, PL/SQL, Python preferred).
- Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents and performance issues.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- **7+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.**:

- **Strong knowledge of Oracle 11g/12c/19c, Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.**:

- Proven experience in database migration projects, especially to/from cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with **AWS RDS, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, and DMS.**:

- **Experience with GoldenGate, RMAN, and Data Pump.**:

- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments.
- Scripting skills in Shell, PL/SQL, and optionally Python.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

**Preferred Certifications**
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) - DBA Track
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Database Specialty

Pay: From $45.00 per hour

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Oracle DBA: 8 years (required)
- AWS: 3 years (required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON M5M 3G5
