**General Summary.....**

Assist the supervisor in the daily management of tasks in the expedition department. Including coordinating the duties of employees in various departments at the gatehouse and swapping them if necessary.

**This position will be responsible for...**
- In addition to their regular duties as administrative clerk, coordinate the activities of the various services that house the gatehouse;
- Support the various services the gatehouse provides;
- Recommend measures to improve performance and increase the efficiency of the gatehouse while ensuring strict compliance with safety rules;
- Coordinate training and / or train employees in the various tasks of the gatehouse;
- Ensure compliance with FedEx Supply chain and customer policies and procedures;
- Assist the supervisor, participate in certain tasks such as: performance appraisal and disciplinary measures;
- Replace absentees or employees on vacation if required;
- Perform all other tasks and responsibilities assigned by management.

**Education/Experience**- D.E.C. or recognized equivalence;- Probation period successfully completed;- Excellent performance and safety employee record in current position (no disciplinary measures and no problem of absenteeism);- A minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of experience at the gatehouse;- Good computer skills, must know Word and Excel, and ability to learn how different software work;- Sense of initiative, analysis and organization;- Customer service oriented;- Good listening and communication skills;- Care for quality and accuracy in data entry;- Problem solving skills;- Demonstrated leadership;- Ability to handle stress;- Ability to adapt to the different tasks and schedules of the gatehouse;- The English language is required to communicate on a daily basis with our out-of-province English-speaking client and/or corporate employees located in the United States_.

- Ability to follow policies and procedures.- Ability to read, write and interpret information.- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.- Ability to sit/walk/stand for up to 10 hours per day.- Ability to intermittently crawl, squat, climb, twist, bend, stoop, push or pull.- Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.- Ability to lift/carry items less than 25 pounds.
