**About the Labour Market Information Council**

The Labour Market Information Council (LMIC) is a not-for-profit organization established to identify and implement pan-Canadian priorities to address the need for more consistent and accessible labour market information for all people in Canada.

Our efforts are driven by strong collaborations with our partners in federal, provincial and territorial governments, intermediary organizations (for example, career service providers) and academic researchers.

**The position**

LMIC is hiring a bilingual **Communications Specialist **to support the organization as it reaches new audiences and seeks to maximize the impact labour market information has on the lives of people in Canada.

We are looking for a **fluently bilingual** communications practitioner who is eager to critically and thoughtfully engage with and help amplify both the social purpose _and_ technical content of LMIC ; co-create a strong, creative and collaborative team culture; and who will take strategic and results-based approach to their work.

**Work requirements**
- Edit reports and articles in French and English (LMIC works with consulting editors and translators, but you will need to have the ability to validate their work, as well as take on some short turnaround editing projects).
- Layout reports and articles in WordPress.
- Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns that integrate social media, newsletters, direct outreach, web content, media and stakeholder engagement.
- Reflect and report on campaign analytics and performance.
- Design graphics and images for reports, articles and social posts in Canva.
- Support the development and management of consultant and vendor relationships.
- Plan and execute virtual events and webinars.
- Maintain project management documentation and timelines.
- Foster supportive and collaborative relationships with colleagues and team members.

**Qualifications and knowledge domains**
- Bilingualism in both official languages (French and English).
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with content design standards and best practices.
- Experience with content management across social media, newsletter and website platforms (especially WordPress and Mailchimp).
- Knowledge of social media standards and best practices in French and English.
- Experience editing and laying out reports, including with complex charts and graphs.
- Experience developing and executing integrated communications and/or marketing campaigns.
- A fine and well-honed attention to detail.

**Assets**
- Familiarity with economic, social sciences, and/or data-related concepts, language and jargon.
- Experience managing WordPress instances and themes.
- Google Analytics certification and/or demonstrated experience.
- Knowledge of HTML.
- Graphic design skills.
- Project management experience, particularly with tools like Wrike or Asana.
