The Project Manager is primarily responsible for the success of the project in terms of time, scope, and cost, and ensures the projects are conducted according to Project Management best practices and Husky’s business level product development Stage Gate process. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the Integrated Product Team (IPT) spread across various geographic locations and providing them with the necessary information to execute the projects as well as communicate with all relevant stakeholders and sponsors.

**Key Responsibilities/Areas of Accountability**:

- Develop the project plan complete with a well defined scope, deliverables, and supporting schedule with resource requirements.
- The Project Manager is responsible for the project from the initial Product Development Request up to and including the Production Release
- The PM is responsible for ensureing that project milestones and objectives are completed on time and that they meet the customer’s expectations
- They provide the Integrated Project Team (IPT) with clear scope, risk mitigation plans, contingency plans, quality control, as well as facilitate problem solving initiatives.
- The PM is responsible for tracking project progress, costs, and effectively communicating status to stakeholders.
- The PM coordinates with marketing, engineering, operations, and sales to identify and allocate resources for each deliverable and task within the project including all elements of the product release process.
- Develops strong working relationships and promotes team effort to ensure effective use of all resources and positive resolution of conflict
- May participate in continuous improvement activities

**Technical/Professional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Strong organizational and project management skills; knowledge of Project Management Process
- Strong understanding of the Stage Gate business process and the product pelease process
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
- Strong financial knowledge and insight
- Strong negotiation, facilitation, conflict management skills and the ability to professionally interact with all team members
- Utilize quality processes, tools and techniques such as Value Stream Mapping; Affinity Diagrams; Brainstorming; Design of Experience; Gantt Charts; Pareto Diagrams; Cause and Effect diagrams; FMEA, and QFD etc.
- Plastic industry and market knowledge
- Broad exposure to design engineering
- Knowledge of injection molding machinery and related mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic technologies

**Education**
- Post-secondary education (Bachelor of Engineering degree preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Certification as a Project management professional or willingness to pursue certification.

**Related Experience**
- 1 - 3 years project management experience including scheduling and budget responsibilities
- Strong financial knowledge and insight an asset
