**Maintenance Assistant**

**This position will require you to**:

- Maintenance and upkeep all ranch vehicles, equipment, and on-site buildings.
- Unloading hay and feeding with tractor.
- Utilise a variety of skills.
- Lawn and grounds keeping.
- Hauling horses between various company locations.
- Interact with guests in a fun professional manner when required.

**Qualifications**:

- Dynamic and creative problem solver.
- Experience with large vehicles & trailers is an asset
- Experience in operating and upkeep of tractors.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
- Valid First-Aid certificate.
- Must be comfortable working around horses.

As a Maintenance Assistant at Banff Trail Riders, you will play a crucial role in keeping our facilities running smoothly. Your responsibilities include maintaining our stables, corrals, cookout locations, and staff accommodations; ensuring the timely feeding of our horses and mules; conducting regular inspections of fences, gates, and buildings; performing various maintenance tasks, including metalwork, woodworking, plumbing, and electrical work; and contributing to a safe and enjoyable environment for guests, staff, and animals. This role provides a significant degree of variety and would suit applicants with initiative keen to develop their skills.

This is a seasonal position that runs from late April until October.

Limited staff accommodation may be available upon request.
