Day Camp Warehouse Lead

Location: Day Camp Office - 120 Shields Court Markham, Ontario LR3 9T5

Work Hours: Part time hours between April - June, then up to 40 hours per week Monday - Friday starting June 2 until August 29, 2025

**Be the Spark** Join our dynamic Day Camp Team, where every day is different, and you will always be engaged with meaningful work

**In this role, you will**:

- Responsible for the organization, cleanliness, and inventory of Day Camp warehouse
- Work with the Program Coordinators to pack all program camp kits for all camp locations as well as assist with move out and in
- Communicate with Camp Directors and Program Coordinators and coordinate supply replenishment and delivery
- Achieve assigned budget; monitor expenditures and ensure purchases are within camp budget; submits all invoices on a weekly basis to ensure they are processed in a timely manner
- Assist in supervision of warehouse volunteers
- Responsible for attending all staff trainings and meetings; arriving on time, and actively participating and contributing to the development of all camp staff
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are being followed and maintained and contribute to the cleaning, safety and maintenance to camp sites and office
- Act as a positive role model for the campers and fellow staff through embodying the YMCA values, policies and procedures, Day Camp conditions of employment/guidelines and the Ontario Camping Association standards

**You bring**:

- Post-secondary education (or currently enrolled) preferred
- Minimum 1-year experience in a child-oriented programs; Y Day Camps an asset
- Experience as a supervisor an asset
- Experience in warehouse or supply management
- Ability to use frequent light to medium physical effort: Lifting up to 50 lbs. by bending, carrying, pushing and pulling
- Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
- Well-developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with families, staff and volunteers
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a group of children
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and building a sense of belonging
