The Quality Assurance portfolio (within eSafety & Quality) has a permanent full time Lead position available to coordinate and lead the various testing activities for the MEDITECH program within Fraser Health.

Utilize your strong leadership and testing skills in this challenging and rewarding **Lead, Health Informatics **role. You will provide leadership to team members, work closely with all levels of the business, ensuring the work you are doing aligns with the MEDITECH program’s expectations and is reflective of measurable results.

You will also provide backup coverage to the Portfolio Manager and the Scripting Lead as needed.

Build your career experience as you focus on some of the following key roles and responsibilities:
**TESTING**:

- Responsible for preparing and maintaining the project level Test Strategy in consultation with the various module leads
- Closely work with the Portfolio Managers and module leads in defining timelines for each of the in-scope test types
- Lead the Test planning, coordination and execution activities for each of the test types
- Responsible to ensure test planning and execution activities are completed within the prescribed timelines
- Understand the end to end clinical workflows and get involved in performing hands-on testing
- Lead & mentor the testers, ensure deliverables from the Test team are of high quality
- Triage defects and own the defect life cycle process
- Acts as an escalation point for the Testing team, assists in resolving complex problems
- Ensure traceability between workflows, test cases and their test results are in place
- Lead and co-ordinate the Transition in Care (TIC) simulation planning and execution activities (an alternative to User Acceptance tests) in consultation with module leads and clinical co-leads
- Maintain and update the TIC methodology as required
- Be very effective in engaging with the site leads during TIC planning and execution
- Engage in multiple initiatives, able to prioritize and support the execution of projects

**USABILITY**:

- Define and implement Usability as a test type in the project level Test Strategy
- In consultation with the Portfolio Managers and module leads, establish a suitable timeline for preparing & executing Usability tests
- Lead the Usability Test planning, coordination & execution activities
- Promote Usability tests, provide advice, guidance, and direction to implement such tests for suitable areas of MEDITECH Expanse and decision support in clinical and corporate business areas
- Engage all required stakeholders (including coordinating Usability with the chosen users)
- Provide leadership to assigned team members
- Able to identify and call out risks
- Triaging defects and recommending mitigations
- Engage in multiple initiatives, able to prioritize and support the execution of projects

**SCRIPTING & AUTOMATION**:

- Take ownership of ongoing activities & upcoming planned deliverables
- Attend Knowledge transfer sessions to understand the current state
- Define and implement Scripting & Automation as a test type in the project level Test Strategy
- Get trained on using Expanse functionalities (end to end)
- Take the lead and perform hands-on development and maintenance of automation scripts
- Provide direction to team members
- In consultation with the Portfolio Managers & module leads, establish suitable timelines for preparing and executing the Automation scripts
- Build and maintain an automated Regression suite and gradually expand this suite
- Provide expertise on enterprise-wide automation tools, processes and best practices
- Engage in multiple initiatives, able to prioritize and support the execution of projects
- Work towards establishing an Automation Centre of Excellence

- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Science or Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
- At least Eight (8) to Eleven (11) years recent related experience:

- Leading and performing hands-on testing in an electronic health record setting
- Implementing Automation & Scripting, Usability, TIC in a medium to large sized organization including experience with
