A & L Canada Laboratories Inc. (A & L) is one of Ontario’s largest Agricultural and Environmental laboratories specializing in soil, plant tissue, fertilizer, food and water testing. A & L provides reliable, comprehensive and effective services for analytical testing. Our Environmental division provides inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, general chemistry, microbiology and pesticide analysis using state of the art technology and methodology.

A & L Canada Laboratories Inc. is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician - Analytical Chemist who will be responsible to ensure timely and quality results of the test; full implementation and compliance with the quality control program, adherence to all health & safety and lean programs to result in accurate, efficiently produced, reliable test results delivered on time for optimum customer satisfaction.

**Responsibilities**:

- Follows lab protocols to carry out samples preparation, analysis and reporting, and ensures quality results are met;
- Able to troubleshoot instrumentation and analytical issues;
- Writes SOPs, test methods as required;
- Observes and supports all safety guidelines and regulations;
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor in analytical chemistry, or similar program, preferably work experience in a GMP/GLP laboratory;
- Good knowledge and experience using analytical techniques and instrumentation such as HPLC, LCMS, GCMS, and wet chemistry techniques;
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of analytical techniques;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Possess a positive work ethic with team-based attitude;
- Willing to be flexible in job duties;
- Excellent communication skills
- written and verbal.
