Cathodic Protection Technician In-training

Streamline Integrity is seeking to hire a Cathodic Protection Technician In-Training to work out of our Grande Prairie office.

Streamline Integrity provides cathodic protection services, pipeline assessment surveys and AC Mitigation installations for major energy companies throughout Alberta and British Columbia.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct specific field services related to the maintenance and survey of various types of cathodic protection systems.
- Prepare cathodic protection field reports for clients.
- Assist with the coordination and installation of cathodic protection and AC mitigation systems.
- Assist with the performance of pipeline assessment surveys including Coating Evaluation, Depth of Cover and Close Interval Potential surveys.
- Create and review as-proposed/as-built drawings
- Gather field data to diagnose and repair cathodic protection systems
- Communicate with customers in a professional manner
- Maintain proper operating conditions of test equipment and vehicle

**Qualifications**:

- Prior work experience such as pipeline construction, electrical or line locating an asset
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Class 5 drivers license and acceptable drivers abstract
- Able to work overtime and away from home as required
- Able to successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

Additional assets include operating ATV/UTV equipment, valid safety tickets and able to complete physical work where required.

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)
