**Overview**
**Responsibilities**:
- **Drive Foodservice Sales Growth**: Achieve profitable and sustainable sales growth targets with a customer-centric focus. Develop and execute strategic plans aimed at increasing sales and market share across key national accounts and broadline distributor partnerships.
- **Contract Negotiation**: Negotiate and finalize contracts with key national accounts to meet sales targets while delivering value to both the customer and the organization.
- **Business Development**: Identify, prioritize, and actively pursue profitable new business opportunities to expand the customer portfolio and market presence.
- **Performance Monitoring**: Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, providing regular updates to the senior management team to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- **Forecast Management**: Maximize forecast accuracy to meet both customer and organizational requirements, optimizing inventory and service levels.
- **Financial Oversight**: Manage the ownership of P&L and key account budgets, including forecasting, planning, and trade spending, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
**Collaboration**
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to develop and execute growth-driving strategies that leverage collective expertise.
- **Market Intelligence**: Stay informed about market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities that align with company objectives.
- **Relationship Building**: Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, enhancing inter-organizational cooperation.
- **Strategic Planning**: Develop and implement annual strategic plans in alignment with sales, marketing, finance, and operational needs.
- **Market Insights**: Provide strategic insights to senior management to inform accurate forecasting, prioritize resources effectively, and ensure optimal organizational management.
- **Key Performance Reporting**: Regularly report on key performance metrics to the senior management team, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- **Customer Relations**: Effectively manage internal and external relationships, ensuring regular communication and high levels of engagement with all stakeholders involved.
- **Customer Satisfaction**: Establish a strong rapport with national account and distributor partners, fostering customer satisfaction and loyalty to enhance long-term partnerships.
**Experience**
- 5-8 years of experience managing national broadline distributor and foodservice chain accounts.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian foodservice market.
- Deep knowledge of broadline foodservice distributors & national foodservice chain operators.
- Expertise in RFP processes, negotiations, and engagement with senior buyers and category managers.
- Proficient in communicating directly with heads of categories.
- Significant sales and account management experience at a national level, with a proven track record in increasing sales and supervisory responsibilities within the Foodservice industry.
- Proven track record of successful sales growth and profitability within the foodservice channel.
- Experience in negotiations, with strong influencing and persuasion skills.
- Strong financial acumen, capable of managing budgets and forecasting revenues.
- Genuine passion for the Foodserivce industry with a commitment to continuous learning and development opportunities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to think strategically, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions.
- Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Sales, Business, Marketing, or Customer Service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
