**_Company Overview_**

**_Overall Responsibilities_**

The QC Technician will be responsible for sampling all inventory material and performing minor laboratory activities in both Chemistry and Microbiology laboratory.

**_Specific Key Responsibilities & Duties_**
- _
- To follow instructions and procedures as outlined by the Microbiology Supervisor
- To perform daily sampling of raw materials and purchased items upon receiving
- To perform daily sampling of manufactured items and finished goods upon completion
- To maintain overall sanitation of the sampling booths and their contents
- To maintain quality documentation logs and checklists
- To maintain laboratory tracking system log of sampled goods
- To be able to transition into the chemistry or microbiology laboratory based on Microbiology Supervisor’s discretion, performing minor lab testing activities (i.e. Physical testing, media preparation, administration duties)
- Working in compliance with the company’ s Health & Safety Policies/SOP’s including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities Procedure
- Will comply with Good Manufacturing Practices in all GMP sensitive areas of Jamieson Laboratories Ltd. facilities
- To perform other related duties and projects as assigned

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements**
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma required
- Post-Secondary diploma in laboratory sciences an asset
- Ability to input and extract information in a computerized environment
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly
- Strong command of the English language preferred
- Work independently and with mínimal supervision
- Able to work shift work and to work overtime to complete projects in a timely fashion as required
- Forklift experience an asset
- Must have own transportation to sample products at Twin Oaks
