**Duties and Responsibilities**

Under the authority of the Executive Director, the **Indigenous Fridays Coordinator** is responsible for the following tasks:

- Research performers, coordinate and promote Indigenous Fridays.
- Schedule activities for Indigenous Fridays.
- Organizing a concert for the last Indigenous Friday.
- Be present for each event.
- Book, process invoices and cheques for performers.
- Be responsible to maintain the budget.
- Create promotional items, posters and distribute.
- Communicate information to all partners, informing them of upcoming events, training, and pertinent information.
- Create and compile statistics of participants.
- Collaborate with community partners and Ville de Montreal.
- Work with our communications coordinator for social media pages and design.
- Communicate weekly updates through Facebook Cabot Square page.
- Communicate with business owners and residents to launch Indigenous Fridays.
- Build partnership with other Indigenous Art organizations.
- Undertake other related duties as required by the Executive Director.
- Must hand in a final report by August 22, 2025.

**Requirements**:

- Have experience organizing public events at Cabot Square or similar parks.
- Experience in communications.
- Experience with crisis counseling.
- Experience with evaluations and statistics gathering.
- Ability to meet deadlines with minimum supervision.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Able to communicate in both French and English.
- Knowledge of Indigenous history, culture, customs and traditions and the effects of residential school on Indigenous peoples and communities.
- Consent to sign a confidentiality form and obtain a criminal record check.

**Job Types**: Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
