Electrical Service Project Manager/ Estimator

**About the position**:
Currently, Houle is searching for a **Project Manager/Estimator** to join our Vancouver Island Services group, based in Courtenay/ Comox region. _Would also consider at Junior PM. _
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Project Manager/Estimator performs a wide range of duties including estimating smaller jobs and repairs, managing service work order and project process flow including scheduling, invoice closeout and customer satisfaction follow up.
**Responsibilities/Duties**:
- Work with clients and identify potential business opportunities
- Maintain good relationship with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end users
- Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
- Manage project financials (including billing), purchasing, schedules and labour
- Estimate project costs, changes, and submit tenders
- Work with the Service Manager, Coordinators, and Service Electricians to develop service work and small project scheduling
- Review reports - labour status reports, job status reports etc
- Arrange for project manuals/Power quality reports to be completed
- Ensure that all deficiencies are completed by the Service Electricians in a timely manner.
- Ensure that as-built drawings are completed and sent to the customers as applicable
**Experience and Skills**:
- Ideally looking for 1-5 years' experience in project management and estimation. We're open to training from the field but must be red seal Electrician, in this case.
- Experience in electrical service (small commercial projects) preferred
- Electrical TQ a strong asset
- Valid FSR
- Experience with Accubid software (Accubid Pro, Change Order) an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally with different stakeholders
- Good computer skills including MS Office
- Currently working in the area with an established local network as asset
